Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. It was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy@Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s topic is:

Have you tried a reel on Instagram?

(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

By tried I am assuming you mean created one, and the answer to that would be no. I do have an instagram account, but I use it mainly to follow friends, authors and other hobbies. I rarely post on it and when I do it is usually just a picture or two. I have tried to upload a couple of short videos that I took with my camera app, which I am much more comfortable with, but found that to be rather difficult and cumbersome. I might try a reel at some point, but when I want to make a video, I don’t usually think of Instagram as a way to do that.

I do very much enjoy watching the reels that other people create. Especially those cat videos, they are just so funny and cute. I also enjoy watching the food reels, although they often make me hungry. The best videos, though, are the ones that my niece and nephew make of their two adorable children. I just love those, as I only get to see them once a year when I visit Connecticut.

  1. Like you, I’ve uploaded a couple of short videos that I’ve done on my phone but I generally just put up photos. There do seem to be a lot more reels now which I don’t always like as they take more time to watch.
