WWW Wednesday

This has been a very good reading week. I finished four books and a very short novella. Only one was a slight disappointment. I am enjoying all of my current reads too. The weather has been wonderful, although the last couple of days have been a bit colder. Work has been a bit stressful, but manageable. So far I have been able to keep up on my reading, and that should last to the end of the school year in a few weeks.

What am I currently reading?

The Road to Roswell has been a very amusing read. I really like the characters, especially the alien, Indy. Not sure where the story is going yet, but it has been fun getting there.

Malibu Rising has also been entertaining. I like the characters and the story has been very reminiscent of life in the 80’s.

On a Pale Horse is my current audiobook and I am actually starting it today. I am looking forward to it as Piers Anthony was a favorite author of mine back in my youth.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Only One Left was fabulous! I loved the story, except for the epilogue, even though the characters were not very likable. Lots of great twists!

The Angel Makers was a fascinating nonfiction read that I really enjoyed. I felt bad for some of the women who were caught up in the whole mess, but there were a few men who deserved what they got.

Little Thieves was great! I loved the characters, the plot was well done, and the world building was amazing. I can’t wait to read the next one.

The Water Tower was a little disappointing. The story was well thought out, but the dialogue and some of the writing needed work. Not bad for a debut and I would consider picking up the next book in the series.

Never Never Part 3 was a very short novella. I was a little disappointed with how it ended. I really thought there would be more to the story of why Charlize father went to jail. But otherwise I liked the trilogy and the characters.

What will I read next?

Dragonfall will be my next read. I can’t wait to get started as I have heard a lot about this book and it has all been good.

One of Us is Lying will be a reread. I have the ARC for the third book in this series, but it has been so long between books that I need to refresh my memory on the characters. It will be a quick read though.

I think Cherish will be my next audiobook. It comes out on Tuesday and I am second in line on hold at the library. The library ordered over 100 copies so I am pretty sure I am getting mine as soon as the library gets them. I am looking forward to this one.

I hope my streak of reading holds up. I have had very few disappointing reads lately and mostly I have really been enjoying my books. There are basically four weeks left of school for me and hopefully they will go smoothly and I won’t be too stressed out to enjoy my reading. I hope you all have been enjoying your reading as well.
