The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

As the school year continues to wind down, I am finding my weekdays to be exhausting, but my weekends to be nice and quiet and calm. Which is what I really need right now. This past week I am back to my usual three books a week. I finally finished Cherish, (please read that in a very sarcastic tone while rolling your eyes πŸ™„) And while I ultimately did like the book, I am so done with Grace and all of her whininess. I have lots of thoughts on this book, and if I find the time I will try to write a review soon.

What am I currently reading?

House of Roots and Ruin takes place quite a few years after the events of the first book. Verity is all grown up and going out on an adventure of her own. This one doesn’t seem to be based on any fairytale, but it is still dark and gothic and I am enjoying it.

Greymist Fair is also rather dark and wonderful. I am really enjoying the story and can’t wait to see where it goes and how it ends.

The Pallbearers Club Is my current audiobook which I am starting today. I am looking forward to reading something that isn’t a fantasy.

What have I recently finished reading?

One of Us is Back was good, with lots of twists and a bit of a surprise ending. I was fun reading the books back to back, but I was hoping that more of the original characters would be involved in this one.

House of Salt and Sorrows was just as good the second time around. I’m very glad I read it again as it is nice to have the characters fresh in my mind when I started the second book.

Cherish was sooooo looooong. I am so done with this series, so I am hoping that there isn’t another one with Grace as the only point of view. She really annoyed me this time around, although a small part of that may have been the narrator of the audiobook. I am all in for Remy’s story in Sweet Vengeance, though when it comes out in the fall.

What will I read next?

I enjoyed To Have and to Heist so much that I thought I would check out another book by the author. I am heading off to a wedding in a couple of weeks so thought that The Singles Table would be a fun read.

The Sea Detective is a pretty short detective novel, that sounds really interesting. The investigator is also an oceanographer who uses his skills to solve a murder.

The Blackhouse might be my next audiobook, but it might not. I have a couple of others on hold that might show up before I have time to start this one.

Next week is my last week of school. It has been kind of a long year, and as it is my last year of teaching, I am looking forward to just relaxing for a little while. We have a three day weekend first though, so I hope to gets lots of reading done this week. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
