Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

I haven’t added many books to my stack this week. Mostly because I haven’t yet started any of the ones I picked up last week, except for the audiobook which I am almost finished with. This week I didn’t have any holds waiting for me, but I did have a couple of books that I wanted sitting on the shelves. Unfortunately one of them got snagged before I arrived, but the other one was still there. I always peruse the shelves as well, especially the new arrivals and found another one I wanted to read.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Hazards of Time Travel was one of the ones on my list to grab. I first saw this on Wicked Witch’s Blog last week and thought it sounded really interesting. I skimmed the first couple of pages and I think it will be a perfect read for me.

I have seen Vampire Weekend sitting on the ‘New and Interesting’ display near the front door the last few times I have been to the library. I always think about picking it up everytime I see it, but I usually already have enough books by the time I circle back to that display. This week was the week that I decided it needed to come home with me. I have liked other books by this author and this one looks like it will a good one.

ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

An Inheritance of Magic is the only book that has been added to my NetGalley account this week. It sounded interesting and I really like the cover. It doesn’t come out until October, so I won’t be getting to this one anytime soon. I need to start looking at Netgalley for books to add to my list. I don’t have very many scheduled for the end of the year right now.

Audiobooks

As it always seems to happen with holds, both of these books came within a couple of days of each other. That is ok though. I hope to start A Darker Shade of Magic either today or tomorrow and then A Gathering of Shadows sometime next week. These are rereads for me in anticipation of the new book coming out in the fall, The Fragile Threads of Power. I haven’t yet put the third book on hold, but I will soon.

I hope to start getting to some of these library books soon. I just started Nettle and Bone which is a book I own, so once I get that done, I should be good to go on these library books.

What book(s) have you added to your stack this week?
