I have had a very relaxing week with lots of time for reading, especially listening to audiobooks. I currently have a couple of projects going that allows me lots of listening time. I was able to finish 5 books this week and all of them were really good. It was quite a good mix of genres too. I am also enjoying my current reads although I am struggling a bit with one of them.
What am I currently reading?
The Fragile Threads of Power is so good. I am loving it! It is so much fun catching up with all of the characters and what they have been up to. I could have easily read this in one day, but I am going slowly so that I can really enjoy it.
Hazards of Time Travel is pretty good. I am finding it a bit hard to get into as I am not quite jibing with the writing style. But the plot and characters are interesting.
The Chessmen started out a little on the confusing side, but has really taken off. I am looking forward to hearing more about Fin’s time with the band and how he figures out the murder.
What have I recently finished reading?
The Secret Hours was such a good story. It was a nice mix of spy thriller and political intrigue.
Coffin Road was just as good as any other book I have read by Peter May. Lots of good twists and it kept me guessing until the end.
Dial A for Aunties was ok. I had a lot of issues with some of the things that went on, but I liked the characters.
A Conjuring of Light was just as fantastic as the first time I read it! Such a great story.
The Lewis Man was also a very satisfying read. This one had me on the edge of my seat, especially as we got close to the nail biting end.
What will I read next?
Starter Villain is my next ARC and I am really looking forward to starting this one. It looks like a lot of fun.
I’ll be Gone in the Dark is my next library read and is a nonfiction book. I am really looking forward to starting this one.
The Aeronaut’s Windlass will be my next audiobook. I am really looking forward to getting started on this one, even though it is pretty long.

I hope you continue to enjoy Hazards of Time Travel. I found that I got a bit bored with her obsession with the lecturer. I did love Aeronaut’s Windlass so hope that you enjoy that one.
