WWW Wednesday

It has been a pleasant week here, except for the last couple of days. We have had wildfire smoke moving into our area because fires burning in other parts of the state and Canada. This always puts a damper on spending time outside, but it only lasted for a couple of days this time. Hopefully the rain that is on its way later this week will help.

I was able to finish four books this week and for the most part I enjoyed them all. This week’s reads also means that I am pretty much done with my TBR for the month, once I am done with my current ARC. So that is a good thing and a little celebration. I am also way ahead of schedule to finish my reading goal for the year.

What am I currently reading?

The Art of Destiny is the current ARC that I am reading. So far I am enjoying it. Even though it is a long one, (672 pgs) it seems to be moving along at a fast pace.

Fearless is my current library book. I have only just started it but so far so good. I like the setting.

Starling House is my current audiobook, but also an ARC. This is only my second time doing an audiobook ARC, but so far so good. It is a bit spooky and the narrator, Natalie Naudus is doing a great job with the narration.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Last Devil to Die was great and just as good as the other books in the series. I really enjoyed spending time with this fun group of characters as they solve a murder.

I’ll be Gone in the Dark was a little bit on the unsettling side, but still a really good true crime book.

I really enjoyed The Aeronaut’s Windlass. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but the story was worth it. I hope to have a review up tomorrow.

Dead things was pretty good. I liked the main character and the story was interesting. Still unsure if I will continue the series though.

What will I read next?

Night of the Witch will be my next ARC. I am looking forward to reading this one, I have been seeing good things about it lately.

Redshirts will be my next library read. I am looking forward to reading this and hope it is as funny as it sounds.

I am really undecided about my next audiobook. I have All The Sinners Bleed on hold at the library and I think it will be coming soon, but it is always hard to judge these things.

August has been a pretty good reading month so far, and I hope the trend continues to the end of the month. Until next time…
