WWW Wednesday

I had a super busy, but really fun weekend, so I didn’t get much reading done, especially on my audiobook. But I hope to make up for this over the next few days. I need to get Sword Catcher done by this weekend, as my loan will be expiring on Sunday. I am really enjoying the audiobook thought, the narrators are terrific.

I only managed to finish two books this week, but I also did a very thorough skimming of the Cookie book I borrowed from the library last week. So I am including that one here. If you like cookies, you should maybe check that one out.

What am I currently reading?

The City of Stardust is the next ARC that I need to read. I should be starting it either today or tomorrow. I have seen mixed things about this one, but hopefully it will be to my liking.

Love Will Tear Us Apart is the third book in the Stranger Times series. I have only just started it, but so far so good.

I am about half way through Sword Catcher and it is really good. Perhaps a tad too long, but I love the characters and the story. The two narrators are excellent. I hopefully will have it done by the weekend.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Clinic was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a scarier and more thrilling story. Not sure why they are emphasizing the Pacific Northwest setting as it didn’t play that big a role in the story. Still love that cover though.

A Second Chance is the third book in the Chronicles of St Mary’s and I really enjoyed this one. It made me laugh, and although it also made me sad with the death of a favorite character, I still really enjoyed it.

I didn’t really ‘read’ the Taste of Home Cookies cookbook, but I did give it a very thorough skimming. I have picked out about 5 recipes that I want to try, but that is about it. I thought they all sounded really tasty and would recommend this one to anyone needing a good cookie baking book. The recipes all make quite a lot, so this is good if you participate in any kind of cookie exchange.

What will I read next?

Twenty-Seven Minutes is the next ARC I need to read. It sounds like a really good thriller and I hope it lives up to the hype.

Pushed might be the next book I read, but we will see. It is nonfiction so I have to be in the right mood to get it done.

The Inheritance Games is the next audiobook I have on my phone to listen too. This is a popular series so I hope it is as good as I hear it is.

That is it for this week. I hopefully will find more time to read this week, especially my audiobooks. Once again all of my holds at the library seem to be coming at once, and I am having a hard time keeping up. I may just have to give up eating and sleeping to get it all read!
