May is finished and another solid reading month is done. It was a busy month, with less time than usual to read, and I had a lot of long books too. So my total for this month is 12 books read, but I am ok with that. Most of my reads this month were pretty good, although there were a couple that were slight disappointments. I did for the most part finish my May TBR, although one book was not finished by the end of the month, but I’m still counting it as done because I am currently reading it. More importantly, I was able to write a review for all of the books I read this month. One of my goals for this year was to write more reviews, so I certainly accomplished that this month.
As per usual, I have listed the books in the order that I read them and their titles link to my reviews. The ones with asterisks are the ARCs I read this month that come out in June. The ones with the headphone emoji means it was an audiobook.

*Service Model: a science fiction retelling of Waiting for Godot.
🎧Every Time I Go On Vacation Someone Dies: A humorous book set in Greece with a literary focus.
The Familiar: A historical fantasy that ended up being a pretty good read.
🎧Last Fear: A thriller that kept me guessing until the end.

*Mirrored Heavens: A wonderful ending to this amazing series.
The Best Way To Bury Your Husband: A dark comedy focused on domestic abuse.
*The Hermit Next Door: A humorous novella about beings from another dimension.
Play of Shadows: A play within a play and a fun time.

🎧City of Bones: A post apocalyptic story with an unusual main character.
🎧A Whisper in the Walls: A great second book in this YA series about revenge.
*Foul Days: A great debut based on slavic folklore, with cool characters and monsters.
Song of the Six Realms: A gorgeous cover, but the plot was just too slow moving for me.

That is my reading month. I hope you all had a good reading month as well. I am really looking forward to June as I have a lot of good books lines up, and hopefully some of them I will be able to enjoy while sitting in the sunshine. Until next time…
Cant wait to read Mirrored Heavens!

It was good, although I do wish I had reread the other two before this one.
