Well we have made it through the first full week of the new year. My week was pretty unexciting, which actually was kind of nice. I did manage to get through three books this week which was great. I am also enjoying all of my current reads as well.
What am I currently reading?
All Better Now is my current ARC. I have only just started it but so far so good. It is a YA dystopian thriller by one of my favorite authors.
A Brief Atlas of the Lighthouses at the End of the World is a nonfiction book I that I am currently enjoying. I love the illustrations and the little stories are a lot of fun.
The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love is my current audiobook and I am really enjoying it. It is fun and quirky and I love the narrator.
What have I recently finished reading?
A Long Time Gone was my first ARC read of the year and it was great. I love this series and I hope that there will be many more of them to come.
An Argumentation of Historians is the ninth book in this series. This one was a lot of fun with the main character being trapped in medieval england.
One Perfect Couple was an excellent audiobook to start the year with. It was twisty and tense and it took an unexpected turn at the end which blew me away.
What will I read next?
The Fourth Consort is my next ARC I need to read. Really looking forward to this one. It sounds like it will be quirky and funny.
A Pen Dipped in Poison will be my next library read. This is the second book in a cozy mystery series. I liked the first book so I am hoping this one will be good too.
I’m hoping The Queen of Fives will be my next audiobook. I have requested it on Netgalley, but haven’t heard back from the publisher yet. I missed this author’s debut book two years ago, but heard good things about it. So I’m willing to give this one a try. If not this one then I might pick up The Housekeepers.
Wednesday is always a good day as I enjoy seeing what all of you have been reading. My TBR expanded quite a bit yesterday after reading all of those TTT and Top 5 lists of most anticipated books for the first half of the year. I found about a dozen more books to add to my ever growing TBR. Until next time…
Confessions of a Serial Reader 
I’ve just read The Fourth Consort and it was a lot of fun as well as being an intriguing story. I was disappointed by A Pen dipped in Poison which I didn’t think was as good as the first one. Hopefully you will enjoy it more.
