The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Spring has sprung here in the Pacific Northwest. Or at least it did for a couple of days this weekend. But even though the weather has turned gray and wet yet again, I know that warmer and drier times are just around the corner.

I had a pretty good reading week. I enjoyed my books and managed to get the usual three done. My audiobook was long this week, but I was able to find lots of time for listening. I am also quite enjoying my current reads, although my nonfiction is a little on the dry side. Still interesting though.

What am I currently reading?

A Drop of Corruption is very good so far. It took a bit to get back into this very different world, but I am really enjoying the mystery and the characters so far.

Lochness Uncovered is a little on the dry side and slow moving, but I am learning a lot about how the stories about Nessie were started and why people so wanted to believe in her.

The First State of Being is my current audiobook and so far it is delightful. I am enjoying the characters and the story is well done.

What have I recently finished reading?

This Book Will Bury Me has its issues, but overall it was a really well crafter crime thriller. I just wish they had been a bit more sensitive to the true crime story this is based on.

The Bletchley Riddle was a wonderful middle grade historical fiction that I really enjoyed. I hope that this writing duo decides to work together again.

Blood of Hercules was the audiobook that I just finished and I have so many feelings about this one, very mixed feelings, but feelings all the same. I hope to have a review written soon.

What will I read next?

Holy Terrors is the next ARC that I need to read. I am really looking forward to spending time in this world with these characters again and see what shenanigans they get up to this time.

Alibi is a science fiction murder mystery. The premise is very interesting, using teleportation to commit the perfect murder.

Midnight in Soap Lake is my next audiobook. It is set in Washington in a real town. Even though I really don’t like the cover, I am looking forward to listening to this one.

That is it for this week’s look at what I have been reading, and what I might read next. I hope that you are all enjoying your week and that you are finding time to take care of yourselves and of course finding time to read. Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I am really looking forward to reading A Drop of Corruption so hope that you continue to enjoy it. That cover for Midnight in Soap Lake is definitely a bit weird IMO. Have a great reading week.
