The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! Things have been pretty good here except for the weather. It is almost spring but it somehow feels more like winter. Hopefully things will change around soon.

Since last week I have read four books. They were all pretty good and interestingly enough they were all murder mysteries, although one was also a fantasy. My current reads are shaping up to be pretty good, although I have only just started them as I am writing this.

What am I currently reading?

The Geographer’s Map to Romance Is the second book in a cozy fantasy romance series. I loved the first book, The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love, so jumped at the chance to read the ARC. So far I am finding it just as delightful as the first book.

The Last BookShop is a book I purchased recently and so far I am enjoying it. I like the characters and so far the plot is interesting although I am not that far into it yet.

🎧Mask of the Deer Woman is my current audiobook and so far it is pretty good. The narrator is doing a good job and I am finding the story pretty interesting.

What have I recently finished reading?

Holy Terrors was great, although a bit draggy in the middle and perhaps a tad too long, but otherwise I really enjoyed it. It is the third book in the Little Thieves series.

Alibi was slightly disappointing, but only because it wasn’t much of a thriller. The story was a good one, but it is being sold as a thriller and it really wasn’t one, so yeah.

For Whom the Book Tolls was a cozy mystery I picked up because of the pun in the title which I needed for one of my challenges. I found it to be quite good and am considering continuing the series.

🎧 Girl Forgotten was also a book I picked up for one of my challenges. I needed a book by an author who has won the Edgar award and this one fit the bill. It also ended up being quite good, although the narrator could have been better.

What will I read next?

The Tainted Khan is the next ARC I need to read this month. I loved the first book, Dragon Rider last year and I’m really looking forward to reading this one. I just hope I remember enough from the first book!

Storm Waters is my next library read. I think this is another book recommended by one of the author’s whose newsletters I get. It is a modern noir thriller with a paranormal twist and set in the 1930’s. Sounds like something I would enjoy and I just love the cover.

🎧Wooing the Witch Queen is a book I recently learned about that I just knew I had to read. I love the author’s middle grade books and had no idea she also wrote adult fantasy books. It is a romantasy with witches. I’m hoping this will be my next audiobook, but it might not come for a few more weeks. I have a few other books picked out just in case, but I am hoping this will be the one.

So far March has been a pretty good reading month. I hope to continue that streak. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
