Summertime And The Reading Is Easy

I know it’s not summer yet, but here in the states Memorial Day is usually considered the official start to summer. Right now the weather is not feeling particularly summer like, it has been cold and rainy the last week, and it is pretty depressing. So on to having sunny thoughts to cheer me up. I decided to post about some books that I am excited about reading this summer. All of these books come out in either July or August and I don’t have ARCs for them (yet). Most of these are next books in series I have been reading, so unless Netgalley posts their audiobooks I probably won’t request the ARCs. I have too many ARCs already! Some of these I want to reread the series first which will take some time.

July Reads

Red Tempest Brother is the third and I think final book in the Winter Sea series. I have so far loved this series so I am really looking forward to reading this one. I’m seriously considering rereading the first two books, but we will have to see if I have the time. This is coming out July 8th.

The Undercutting of Rosie and Adam is also a third book in the *Hart and Mercy series. These read more like stand alones, so I don’t feel the need to reread the others. But I am so looking forward to spending time in this world and with these characters. This one also comes out on July 8th.

Stone & Sky is the tenth book in the *Rivers of London series. I have been waiting a long time for this book and I am so excited that it is finally coming out. This is another series that I just love, but I am thinking I might need to reread it as it has been so long between books. But not sure I can squeeze in 9 books before July 8th.

August Reads

Accomplice to the Villain is the third book in the wonderful *Assistant to the Villain series. I just adore this funny romantasy and I can’t wait to see what happens in this installment. I thought this was going to be the last one, but it looks like there will be one more and I am so happy about that. This one comes out on August 5th.

Kiss Her Goodbye is the fourth book in the *Frankie Elkin series. I have been enjoying this series about a woman who has dedicated her life to finding lost woman and children. The last one was a little bit far fetched, but still good. It is a fascinating series and this one looks like it will have some interesting twists. It comes out on August 12th.

Once A Villain is the third and final book in the *Monsters trilogy. Another one that I might have to reread the series before tackling this one. This one involves time travel and good vs evil and changing the timeline, or maybe multiverses. I can’t really remember. But it has some great characters, a romance and interesting world building. This one comes out on August 19th.
