My Monthly Wrap-Up: November 2025

November was a pretty good reading month. There were mostly good reads with a couple of just ok books. I managed to finish 9 books and 7 audiobooks for a total of 16. I was able to write a few reviews for the books I read. I’m slowly working my way back into writing them. Hopefully I will be back up to speed soon.

Favorite ARCs

*Secrets of the First School was the final book in the Edinburgh Nights series. It was a good ending and a very exciting one.

*Twelve Months was fantastic and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was a long year for Dresden as he works through his grief and ptsd.

šŸŽ§ The Storm was a great murder mystery thriller. I loved the atmosphere and the characters. The full cast narration was also a great way to do this audiobook.

Reading Challenge Books

*A Dumb Birds Field Guide to the Worst Birds Ever was a lot of fun to read. I did agree with the author about some of the annoying birds, but not all. Still a lot of fun though.

šŸŽ§*Another Fine Mess is the second book in the Bless Your Heart series. It has some great characters and has an interesting take on zombies, ghouls and vampires.

Three Assassins was also a fun read. I loved how the three assassins eventually come together. Their different styles of killing were interesting as well.

Favorite Reads

Cinder House was a great retelling of Cinderella. It was really original and I loved the ghost version. The ending was perfect as well.

A Tangle of Time is the second book in The Hexologists series. It was just as much fun as the first one. I love this detective duo and all of the shenanigans they get up too.

Favorite Audiobooks

šŸŽ§ *Clown Town is the ninth book in the Slough House series and is just as much fun as the other books. I love that River is back and the gang is ready for another fight.

šŸŽ§ A Case of Mice and Murder was fabulous. I loved the setting and the characters and the mystery was well done. I am looking forward to reading the second book soon.

šŸŽ§*Red Tempest Brother was wonderful and a great ending to the trilogy. I loved having Benedict’s voice in this one. Highly recommend this swashbuckling pirate story.
