Summer is almost here and I am really excited about it. June is going to be a bit busy so I am limiting my official TBR to just six books. I know I will read far more than that, but it is nice not to have the pressure.
I only have three ARCs this month. I had four, but one of them was archived before I had a chance to download it. I don’t think that has ever happened to me before. Usually they archive a book after the publication date, so not sure why this one was so early. Anyways, I’m still interested in reading it, so I put it on hold at the library. My ARCs seem to have a theme this month, see if you can figure it out! I also picked three other books I am planning on reading for my challenges.
ARCs I need to read

Killer Vibes (July 14th) is the first book in a new mystery series set in Austin, Texas. It features a private eye who inherits a whole bunch of problems from his uncle and soon finds himself way over his head in trouble.
If Books Could Kill (July 21st) has a great title and cover which is what made me take a look at it. It is another one of those stories where a the main character finds themselves inside their favorite author’s book. But this one sounded like it might have a bit of a twist to it, so I thought I would give it a chance.
Last Night Was Killer (July 7th) sounds hilarious and that cover pretty much tells it all. I reminds me a bit of the Finlay Donovan series, so hopefully it will be just as funny. I will need a good laugh this month. This is an audiobook narrated by a favorite reader.
Other books I plan to read

The Knight and the Moth (Buzzword Cover Challenge) had a lot of good reviews last year. I enjoyed this author’s other books, so hopefully this will be a good one. I heard that there was quite the cliffhanger at the end, so it is good that I waited. The next book comes out in September.
Fated (Buzzword Reading Challenge) I needed a book with a one word title for this month’s prompt, and this book popped up on my TBR. I really enjoy this author’s other series, Inheritance of Magic, so hopefully this will be a good one too. It is an urban fantasy set in London.
The First Female Fossil Hunter (NonFiction Challenge) This is a biography about Mary Anning. I have always found her story interesting, but there haven’t been a lot of good biographies about her. (at least not here in the states) I am really looking forward to learning more about her.

That is it for my June TBR. Lots of good books to read. I have a few more in mind as well, but we will see how the month goes. What books are you planning on reading this month. Let me know in the comments. Until next time….
