Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

I didn’t think that I would have any books to talk about this week while on vacation, but I came across two ARCs that I really wanted to read and then an audiobook came along, so here we are. I am pretty excited about all of these books and am happy to share them with you.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

I haven’t been home in almost two weeks, so no new library books. I am looking forward to getting back to the library next week as I will hopefully have a couple of books on hold waiting for me.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

The Velvet Knife is the next book in the Truly Devious series and I was very excited to receive an ARC. The last book, Nine Liars, ended on a bit of a cliff hanger so I am excited to see where the story goes in this book. This comes out in September.

Game of Pets is the start of a new middle grade series by a favorite author. This is about a boy who discovers that aliens are disguising themselves as pets in order to take over the world. This one also comes out in September.

Audiobooks

I have a couple of audiobooks on hold on Libby that are all saying ‘available soon’ but this is the one that won out this week. The Correspondent is a book I keep seeing around and I just love the cover. I keep getting drawn to it even though it isn’t my typical genre. But I still feel compelled to read it so hopefully it will be good.

Well that is it for this week’s Stacking the Shelves. Looking forward to seeing what others have added to their stacks this week. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
