The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. Mine is good so far. I have been doing a quilting retreat for the past couple of days which has been great. It is nice to do something that doesn’t involve moving for a few days. It has cut down on my reading time a bit, but that is ok too.

My reading this week has been very good. I have been enjoying all of my reads, especially my current ones. As we get more settled in the new house I am finding more time to read, which is great.

What am I currently reading?

The Velvet Knife is the next book in the Truly Devious series. I have only just started it, but so far so good. I am enjoying hanging out with Stevie and her friends.

The Absent One is so far really good. I am enjoying this police procedural series about a burned out detective solving cold cases.

Green City Wars is very entertaining. What a fascinating world the author has created here with genetically modified animals. I love the main character Scotch and all of his animal friends and enemies.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Henchperson’s Guide to Unionizing was quite amusing. I enjoyed the characters and the story was interesting. I should have a review up soon.

The Good, The Bad and the History is just as funny and fast paced as all of the others. This is the most current release from the series so I am now all caught up. There will be at least one more that comes out next year.

99 Ways to Die and How to Avoid Them was a very interesting and at times humorous read. I even learned a few things. There are some kind of gross bits, but very informational, though perhaps a bit on the light side of how to avoid these many things that can kill you.

What will I read next?

The Blood Queen is the next ARC that I need to get done. So looking forward to this sequel to Crimson Throne.

Stone & Sky is the latest in the Rivers of London series. I kept putting off reading this, but I have a copy now and I am excited to finally get to it.

The Spellshop is the last book on my August TBR. I don’t think I will have finished it by the end of the month, but I will be close enough to call it done.

That is it for this week’s edition of WWW Wednesday. I hope the rest of your week is marvelous and that you are enjoying your reading.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I’ve never heard of the Department Q series before but the books do sound good. I always love a good police procedural.
