Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been pretty good so far. I have been busy putting my quilting studio back together in the new house. I’m about half way done. It took two days just to organize the all of the fabric! But it has been fun to. I am finding things that I have forgotten I own.

Reading wise I had a very good week. I five books and they were all pretty good ones. Two were audiobooks that I absolutely enjoyed listening to as I was working. I’m currently reading some really good ones too.

What am I currently reading?

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder is my first holiday book for this year. I loved the previous book, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year, and so far this one is shaping up to be just as good.

21 Days of Fear is a very cool book in the way that it is formatted. I am just starting this one today and have only read one letter so far, but I am fully intrigued. I don’t think I will take 21 days to read it though.

King of Ashes is really good so far. I am listening to the audiobook and I just love the reader. Not very far into it yet, but I am enjoying the story so far.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Blood Queen was an excellent ending to this historical fantasy duology. Lots of action in this one and I loved the romance. A little lacking in the historical part of the story, but still a really fun read.

Don’t Cross Mo Ellery was an interesting book. I did like the mystery, but the main character really got on my nerves at times.

Stone & Sky is the 10th book in the Rivers of London series. This was a fun one, especially as we got some chapters from Abigail’s point of view.

The Absent One was even better than the first book in the Dept Q series. The crimes in this one are very disturbing, but the determination of the team to find the truth was great. Highly recommend the audiobook as the reader is excellent.

Subculture Vulture was hilarious at times but there were also some sad and poignant moments. This memoir chronicles the author’s life in many subcultures including AA, deaf culture, and Burning Man

What will I read next?

Mortal Things is up next on my ARC list. Really looking forward to reading this YA fantasy by one of my favorite authors.

Here Lie All the Boys who Broke My Heart is another YA that I am reading for one of my challenges. I probably would have picked this one up just because of that title.

The Secret Lives of Murderers’ Wives is up next on my audiobook list. At least I hope it is. Libby is saying it should be available soon, but sometimes that still takes awhile.
