Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been good so far. Still doing a lot of unpacking and sorting, but now I’m just down to the few things that I’m not sure where to put. So it still might take a bit to say I’m done.
Most of my reading this week was really good, except for one book. I probably wouldn’t have finished it except that I had chosen it for a challenge and didn’t feel like finding a new book this late in the month. But otherwise a fabulous reading week, especially my audiobooks.
What am I currently reading?
Backwoods Banshee is the fifth book in the Adam Binder series. I really enjoy this series and so far this one is just as good as the others. I also really love that cover. So scary!
Kiss Slay Replay is fine so far although I just started it last night and haven’t gotten very far yet. But so far so good.
Clanlands is my current audiobook and I have only just started it. So far I love the voices, although it is a bit hard to follow at times as they keep interrupting each other. It also starts off with a bit of an intro to Outlander and who they are and why they are doing this trip.
What have I recently finished reading?
🎧*It’s Not What You Think was a great book. Very twisty and I was never sure where it was going. I actually only took about two days to finish it. The last chapter was very disturbing.
*Mortal Things was also a really good story with some great characters and a very interesting world. Looking forward to the second one in this duology.
Here Lie All the Boys Who Broke My Heart was okay, but did not quite live up to its potential as a thriller. I toughed it out to the end, only because I wanted to see if I guessed the murderer correctly and because it was a book I chose for the Buzzword Reading Challenge prompt this month.
🎧 Tourist Season was a lot of fun to listen to and I loved the whole serial killer plot, but not sure if this is really a series I want to continue.
Testament of Leaves is a science fiction mystery novella that was fabulous. I really enjoyed the characters and would love to see more stories about them.
🎧 The Secret Lives of Murderer’s Wives is a fabulous story. I love the three wives and how clever they are about solving the murders. It had a great ending as well. Highly recommend this one.
What will I read next?
Grim Folk Tale is my last ARC for this month. For some reason the release date has been changed to January, so there’s no rush. But I had it planned for this month so here we go.
Heir is a book that I have been wanting to read since it came out. But I heard that there was a huge cliffhanger at the end so I decided to wait until closer to the release of the next book, which just came out. So looking forward to reading this one.
🎧Earthbound should be my next audiobook, but we shall see. This is the third book in the Faebound trilogy and I am looking forward to listening to this finale.
