Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. Mine has been good, but rainy. It is supposed to get better tomorrow I think, so hopefully the rain is not here to stay, at least for now.
Last week my STS post was all about the audiobooks. This week, I have three library books to talk about. Two were holds that I picked up yesterday and one that I found on the shelf that I have been wanting to read since it came out in the spring. All of these are on my TBR for October. Plus two more ALC’s that I recently picked up as well, both coming out this fall. And finally, just as I was finishing this post up I received notice that one of my ARC request came through. Yeah! All of the ARCs have gorgeous covers.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack
The Locked Door is a mystery thriller that I chose for the Buzzword Reading Challenge. I somehow have never read a book by this author, but have always heard good things about her books. No time like the present I guess.
Piper at the Gates of Dusk is the newest book by this author and it is set in the Chaos Walking world. This one takes place 20 years after the original series and features new characters.
50 True Stories That Will Scare You to Death is a nonfiction book that I couldn’t resist getting for October. Love that cover! I just hope it won’t be so scary that I will have to sleep with the lights on.

I love Beth Revis’s books, so of course I had to request this one. I am also a huge fan of dragon books. So looking forward to this viking inspired fantasy. This come out in January, but I will be reading it long before then.

When I saw this gorgeous cover on Netgalley I knew that I had to know more about it. It sounds intriguing and so far the reviews have been pretty positive.

And another gorgeous cover! It has been awhile since I have read anything by this author, but I have loved her books in the past. This is sort of a retelling of Dorian Gray with some Rapunzel vibes I think. Anyways it does sound promising.
