About

I confess, I am a serial reader.  What I mean by this is that I will pick up another book as soon as I have finished one. I also am usually reading more than one book at a time.  In fact I would almost rather be reading than writing this blog.  But hey I have opinions on the books I read and I like to share.  I always have an audio book going as well as print, and sometimes one on my i-pad. I do need to be careful not to have all of these books have similar themes, plots or characters, which is not always easy. I tend to favor teen and tween books that are fantasy and sci-fi, but I always enjoy anything that is well written and engaging.

So who am I? I am a school librarian hiding out somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.  My name, Elnade, is derived from using the first two letters from my names. But it is also a Dungeons and Dragons water goddess.  According to the D&D wiki, her voice can be heard in the waves of the water and the drops of rain.  I was never enough of a Nerd to play D&D but I really connected with this goddess.  I enjoy the ocean, from the beach or on a boat, and I live in one of the rainiest areas of the country.  And finally is there anything better than curling up in front of a fire with a good book and listening to the rain falling?  I think not.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Hello Elnade,

I read that your blog is small and doesn’t have a formal submission form, and that you enjoy audiobooks. I’m an independent author and recently published an audiobook entitled Silbyonite. I believe your site would be a perfect fit for an indie author like me.

I would be very grateful if you could consider reviewing my audiobook. It’s available free of charge, so there’s no need for me to send a separate copy — the link is included below.

Silbyonite is a dystopian story set in a distant future where humanity has grown old and suffers from degenerative diseases, yet it ultimately carries a hopeful message. The genre is hard science fiction.

If the theme isn’t of interest to you, perhaps the link could still be useful for your blog’s casual readers.

    Kind regards,

    JVI
