A review for the new novella by Naomi Novik. The Summer War is a heartwarming story about vengeance, familial love and forgiveness. It is a modern fairytale with a young protagonist that you will cheer for as she explores her new found powers.

A review for the audiobook version of Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson. I really enjoyed this modern fairy tale with a wonderful cast of characters and some very interesting world building.

Lots of mixed feelings about this final book in what has otherwise been a wonderful series. Holy Terrors has a wonderful ending, but it was a bit of a struggle to get there.
