This is my quarterly check in on how I am doing on my reading challenges for the year. So far I am doing great although I am finding them to be a bit more challenging this year. I am finding it kind of hard to find books to fit the prompts!

Audiobook Review: 2026 Nonfiction Challenge #3
A review for one of the most compelling reads about serial killers I have listened to. Murderland by Caroline Fraser is an in depth look into some of the causes of why there were so many serial killers in the Pacific Northwest in the 70s and 80s. The narrative style and memoir aspects of the story really make for a compelling read.
Book Review: 2026 Nonfiction Challenge #2
A review for the nonfiction book Hidden Libraries: The World’s Most Unusual Book Depositories by DC Helmuth. This fun book tells the story of 50 unusual libraries that you can find around the world, and then some. I enjoyed learning about these hidden gems and I hope to visit at least a few of them someday,

A review for my first nonfiction book of 2026. A World Without Summer by Nicholas Day is a middle grade book about how one cataclysmic event can have a ripple effect across the world. The 1815 Mt Tambora volcanic eruption was one such event that had devastating repercussions for the world.
My 2026 Nonfiction Challenge
The new year is almost here so it is time to start setting my challenge goals. I am once again going to participate in the Nonfiction Challenge hosted by Shellyrae at Bookedout. I have some really good books picked out for the challenge this year and hoping to read 12 books again.
