Quick Fire Fantasy Tag

I saw this tag on Way Too Fantasy and thought it would be a fun one to do. And it was. With all of the fantasy that I read I didn’t find it too hard to do, except I did try to come up with new books that I don’t always recommend. But it was a lot of fun coming up with the answers. Without further ado, here are the rules!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post
  • Link to the creator’s blog (thebookwormdreamer.wordpress.com) in your post
  • Answer the prompts below – all fantasy books!
  • Tag 5 others to take part
  • Enjoy!

A 5 Star Book

I just finished this one, and man was it good. It is a retelling of one of my favorite fairy tales, The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Even if you are not into retellings, you should still give this one a try. It is wonderful.

Always Going to Recommend

I don’t think I talk up this trilogy enough but it is amazing and I highly recommend it. It is an Urban fantasy about witches that is heartbreaking throughout all three books. If you have not yet done so, you must read it!

Own It But Haven’t Read It

I’m almost ashamed to admit this one. I bought it as soon as it came out last year, but I still haven’t yet cracked that spine. Part of the reason is because I want to reread Strange The Dreamer, and I just haven’t found the time for that. I will get to it though, I promise.

Would Read Again

There are so many I could suggest here, but I read these three last summer and I had the best time doing it. It was also the series that made me a life long fan of V.E. Schwab.

In Another World

I just loved the world that the author created for these books. It was so rich in its own history and mythology. The characters were well developed as well and the plot just kept you reading long into the night. She has a new book coming out in the fall that I’m looking forward to reading.

Back on Earth

Ok, I know I said I wouldn’t do a book or series that I always tend to pick for these tags, but this one just fit this prompt so well that I just had to do it. This is the perfect blend of police procedural and fantasy. And it is funny to boot. Love this series and I will never get tired of talking about it or recommending it.

Ok, so now is when I am suppose to tag 5 people. I’m really bad at tagging, so everyone who reads this, consider yourself tagged. I look forward to seeing your answers.

  1. I love fantasy.

It was this year where I fell in love with Shades of Magic trilogy- I had the first book for a couple of years, but just didn’t read the series until this year.

I think the only standalone fantasy I read this year was Spinning Silver
