The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
If you are a new comer to my blog, you need to know that I typically am reading at least three books at any given time. Usually an ARC, an audiobook, and a published physical book.
Well, September is about half over, and while I am not reading up a storm this month, I’m not doing too badly either. I have managed to finish 9 books so far, which is more than I thought I would. School has been super busy this year and I only have a few moments here and there for reading. The secret for me, was to choose mostly short books.
What am I currently reading?
I didn’t realize when I picked up The October Man that it wasn’t going to be about Peter Grant. This is a novella, set in Germany with different characters. I think it is setting up some of the story for the next book which comes out in November.
The Tenth Girl has been a bit of a slog, almost DNF’d it, but I have persevered and I have about 100 pages left. Four hundred pages felt more like eight hundred. I have only toughed it out because it is an ARC from NetGalley, and I feel obligated to finish it.
The Front Desk is an audio book for middle grades. It is quite delightful, just wish I had more time to listen.
What did I recently finish?
Desdemona and the Deep was beautifully written, had fun characters, and a plot that was so smart and amazing.
Lies Sleeping was the seventh Peter Grant story and I loved it, especially the ending. Can’t wait to see how things work out in the next book.
I started listening to the Three Dark Crowns series in anticipation of getting my hands on the final book. Hopefully I will get them all done before my hold at the library comes. These will all be rereads for me.
What do I think I’ll read next?
I just loved Hounded, the first Iron Druid book so I am sure I will love Hexed too. I have no idea what the story is about, but I am so excited to start it.
Soul of Stars is the second book in this Anastasia retelling. I really enjoyed the first one and am looking forward to reading this one.
One Dark Throne is the next book in this series. This will be my audio book and I hope I find lots of time to listen to it.
Enjoy your reading!
I recently both book one in the Peter Grant series, can’t wait to read it!
I’m currently reading summer of salt and truly devious!

I have had Rivers of London on my shelves for a couple of years – I really want to start that series soon! It sounds right up my alley 🙂
