Personal Update

Before I get into my weekly reading, I thought I would do a little update on what has been happening with me lately. You may know that I live outside of Seattle, the epicenter of the corona virus in the US, yeah me! So things have been a bit crazy here for several weeks. As of Friday all of our schools have closed and at least my district has moved to online learning. It has been an interesting experience. On top of all that, I have a pretty bad cold, not the virus, just a head cold, but that makes it harder to focus on the stuff I need to right now. My posting may be sporadic over the next few weeks until I feel better and things settle down at work.

What am I currently reading?

I just finished a book last night, so as of right now, I only have two books going. I have not been getting a whole lot of reading done the past two days.

Chosen Ones is my current ARC and so far it is pretty good. I’m about half way through. Not sure why they are saying it is for adults, not finding anything that the YA audience wouldn’t get. It might be that the characters are all older, but so what?

No Country for Old Gnomes is my current audio book. It is pretty funny with a whole new set of characters and plot.

What did I recently finish?

The Marrow Thieves was interesting, not quite what I expected, but really good.

The List of Things That Will Not Change was beautiful and I really enjoyed it.

I just finished Frankly in Love last night and I absolutely loved it. Not at all what I was expecting, but such a wonderful read. Hard to believe it was a debut!

What do I think I will read next?

I’m really not sure what I will read next. I hope to eventually have lots of time to read with school being closed, but we shall see. Also all public libraries are closed, so nothing new coming from them unless it is electronically. But these three are at the top of the list. I’m really mood reading lately so we shall see were my mood takes me.
