Four For Friday

This is a new weekly meme being hosted by Ashlee over on Books Are 42. Basically there will be a theme for each week and you choose four books to fit that theme. The books can be books you’ve read, books coming out soon, books on your TBR, or a mix of all of the above!

This week’s Topic: Beach Reads!

As much as I love the ocean, I don’t really hang out at the beach that much. My skin is too sensitive to enjoy a long hang out reading in the sun. But I can appreciate those of you who love to do this and can certainly recommend some good books to while away your time on the beach. When I am on vacation I usually like to read light and fun books. So here are some recently ones I think you will like. I tried to do both YA books and adult ones but I think anyone would enjoy these.

If you have not yet tried Crave you really must give it a go. It is hilarious and I love all of the characters. I am so looking forward to the next one to find out how everything ends. It is a fast read although it is a hefty book.

Well Met is a wonderful rom/com with a renaissance fair as its setting. I loved the characters and the witty banter and there are some pretty steamy sex scenes in there as well.

Wayward Son is essentially a summer road trip book, and you don’t really need to have read the first book, although it is helpful. I just enjoyed the comments from these very british wizards on american life.

Rivers of London is also a fun book full of interesting characters and I love that it is a police procedural with a supernatural twist. Also a quick read with lots of good characters and a great magical system.

Next week’s prompt is about covers again, ones with sunset colors. It is a tough one, but I think I found some good ones. Until next time, have a great reading week!
