I had a really good reading week, enjoying all of the books that I finished and that I am currently reading. Life is good when that happens! Work is getting a bit busy, but I am ok with that as well. I am looking forward to Spring really starting in earnest, with some warmer days ahead and hopefully a little less rain.

What am I currently reading?

The Last Word is the current ARC that I need to read. I love Taylor Adams stories and this one is just as good as the others so far.

Just One Damned Thing After Another is a book I picked up on a whim at the library. So far I am loving the characters and the story.

Beautiful Creatures is my current audiobook. I decided to pick this one up after a conversation with my niece last week. So far I am enjoying it.

What have I recently finished reading?

Red Team Blues was a really good read. I loved the main character and as long as you don’t get bogged down in the techno speak, it is a really hard book to put down.

Bullet Train was also a really good read. A little bit different than the movie, especially the ending, but I still enjoyed it.

There He Kept Her was amazingly good. I really enjoyed the story, the setting and the characters. There is a second book in the series coming out in August and I have already been approved for it on NetGalley. I might need to read this one a bit early.

What will I read next?

The Isles of the Gods is my next ARC and I am so excited to pick this one up and get started. I love Amy Kaufman’s books and I am sure this one will be just as good as the others.

Holy Sh*t is a non-fiction book about swearing. I am hoping it is interesting and a bit funny. The author is one of the experts that they interviewed for the Netflix series The History of Swearing. She was funny and knowledgeable so I am hoping this book will be fun.

My next audiobook is a bit of maybe. It might be Beautiful Darkness or it might be something else entirely. It sort of depends on how much I end up liking Beautiful Creatures and if I’m in the mood for another long one, or if one of my holds I have been waiting for becomes available.
