The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

The second half of my week off was great! The weather improved and it almost felt like spring, still pretty cold, but at least it was sunny. But it wasn’t so great as far as reading goes. I only managed to get three books finished, but in my defense they were all rather long books!

What am I currently reading?

Bad Summer People is my current ARC and so far I’m enjoying. I’m only a few chapters in and so far we have only met the characters and the setting. But I have high hopes for this being a good one.

Stealing Infinity is the first book in a duology. I received the second book as an ARC, which comes out in June, so I need to read this one post haste. It has started off well and I hope will be a quick read.

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet has been on my TBR for a long time. It is my current audiobook and I am really enjoying it. I love the diversity in the many species and their cultures on board the ship.

What have I recently finished reading?

Perilous Times (496 pgs) was good, though a tad long. I liked some of the characters and I appreciated the setting and the themes. I just wish it had moved a little bit faster.

The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi (483 pgs) was also good, but also slow moving, especially the first half of the book. Once it got going I did really enjoy it.

If We Were Villains (13 hrs) was my audiobook this week and I think my favorite. I loved the setting and the Shakespeare and all of the characters.

What will I read next?

Witch King is my next ARC and my last for May. I am so looking forward to finally picking this one up! It is another longish one (432 pgs) but hopefully it will have a faster pace.

It Ends at Midnight is my next library read. It sounds wonderful with a locked door mystery and unreliable narrators.

Marion Lane and the Deadly Rose hopefully will be my next audiobook. I need to get this one done soon so that I have time to read the third in the series before it’s publication day in June.

One and a half weeks of April left. Next week will be a busy one for me at work, but hopefully not so busy that I won’t have time for reading. I also have a couple of busy weekends coming up in May, so my reading might take a bit if a hit. I am six books ahead of schedule on my Reading Challenge, so I do have a bit of a cushion. But summer and retirement are coming up quick, so I see lots of reading enjoyment in my future.

Happy Reading!
