The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
This has been another good week of reading. I enjoyed all of the books that I finished and I am enjoying my current reads as well. The weather has been a bit on the rainy side this week, which of course means more time inside being cozy and dry and cuddling up with a good book.
What am I currently reading?

Calamity is the next ARC that I need to read. I am looking forward to reading this science fiction romance. I should be starting it today.
Remarkably Bright Creatures is so far a lot of fun. I love the chapters from the octopus’s point of view. The mystery is just starting to ramp up and I am very intrigued with where that is going to end up.
A Blight of Blackwings is such a delight to listen too. I love how the two narrators change their voices for each of the characters. It is long and has multiple people telling the story, but the different voices help to keep track of everyone.
What have I recently finished reading?

The Darcy Myth was quite the interesting read. I’m not sure I agreed with all of her conclusions about how Pride and Prejudice has shaped our views on love but there is something to be said about her take on societies norms on romance.
The Other Passenger was amazingly good and I think will be my best thriller for the year. Such a surprise twist and the final chapter just blew me away.
Broken Souls was better than the first book. So far I am liking this series and will probably continue it. It might be a while before I get to the third book, so many other newer books on my list currently.
Going Zero was really good up to about two thirds in and then it took a weird shift in the narrative that didn’t quite work for me. Up to that point though I was all in and really rooting for the librarian to win.
System Collapse was good, I just kind of wished that I had reread the previous book, as this one continues that story. I struggled with the beginning of this one a bit as I was trying unsuccessfully to remember what had happened previous to the beginning of this book. But it slowly came back enough that I was able to enjoy this one as well.
What will I read next?

Her Dark Wings is my final ARC for this year. I think this will be a good one. I’ve liked the author’s other stories and this is a retelling of the Persephone myth, so fingers crossed it will be a good one to go out on.
The Lies of Locke Lamora will probably be my next library book that I will pick up. I am really looking forward to finally picking this one up. I have only ever heard good things about it.
A Symphony of Echoes might be my next audiobook, but I have a lot of audiobooks on hold and it is possible that one of them might show up before I am done with my current listen. So your guess is as good as mine as to what I will listen to next. If none of my holds show, then this one will win the lottery.

I am doing quite well on my reading goals this year. I only have 24 more books to complete my Goodreads goal, I have already surpassed my nonfiction reading goal of six books and I have almost finished my Scavenger Hunt sponsored by Birdie’s Book Nook. I am actually looking forward to the end of the year and looking back on all that accomplished, at least the reading part of my life.
I hope you are all having a wonderful week of reading and are taking time for yourselves as well. Until next time….
I hope you enjoy these!
