The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I had to dnf a book last week, which was hard for me to do. I don’t often stop reading a book once I start it, but this book just wasn’t working for me so I had to let it go. It unfortunately was also a book I had picked for one of my challenges, so I had to scramble to find another book to fit that prompt. Luckily I did and it was short enough to fit in this week as well.

I am very close to finishing two of my current books which I am kind of excited about. The audiobook I have been listening too was long, but very well done and I enjoyed it. I am also almost done with my last ARC of the month, which has also been quite good.

What am I currently reading?

Don’t Let the Forest In is really hard to put down, and I am really close to finishing it. The story is very compelling and I am not sure where it is going, but I am certainly there for the ride.

Still See You Everywhere is the third book in the Frankie Elkin series and I am really enjoying it. I love the setting of a small private tropical island and I share Frankie’s fear of crabs!

Shadowstitch is still my current audiobook, although I am very close to finishing it. It is long and complex, but the narrator does such a great job with all of the characters that it is quite entertaining.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Blue Hour was pretty good up until I got to the ending, which I totally hated and ruined the rest of the book for me.

Clockwork Boys was fascinating and really enjoyable. I really liked the characters and the story was totally captivating. I am hoping to pick up the second book soon.

What Feasts at Night was short and very good. I think I liked this one better than the first book, although I could have done without some of the gory imagery towards the end.

What will I read next?

Ruthless Vows will be my next ebook. I really enjoyed the first book, Divine Rivals, so I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books is the perfect book to be reading during banned books week. I probably won’t be starting it until closer to the end of the week, but close enough.

Twelfth Knight will be my next audiobook. It will be fun to listen to a short YA romance after the long one I am working on now.

Well another week has come and gone and September is almost over already. I have so many books that I still want to read this year, but I am not sure how I will fit them all in. I don’t have many ARCs left to read this year, so I am hoping that will help. Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. At the moment I am reading the complete poems of Emily Dickenson and a collection of essays “Philosophy after Darwin.” The next book I’ll be reading is a memoir of a woman escaping a husband who controlled her with religious gaslighting. The last novel I read was “Reflections in a Golden Eye” by Carson McCullers.
