The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! I hope that all of you are well and enjoying your week. My week has been pretty good. I managed to finish four books, with most of them being pretty good. I also got some other stuff done too and I celebrated my birthday. I have at this point thrown my January TBR out of the window, but I still have a week or so to maybe squeeze one more on my list before the end of the month. We shall see.

What am I currently reading?

Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave is my current ARC and it is just as funny and good as the others. I am loving the dynamic between her and her neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty. I think I have it figured out, but we shall see.

A Language of Dragons is so far just as good as I was hoping it would be. I am really enjoying it. I am about a third of the way through, but hope to spend more time with it soon.

Death Under a Little Sky is my current audiobook and I am really enjoying it. So far the pacing is a little bit slow, but the characters and the story are really interesting.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Fourth Consort was great and I really enjoyed it. It is being advertised as a stand alone, but I am certainly hoping it isn’t. The ending was open enough for there to be more books with these characters.

A Brief Atlas of the Lighthouses at the End of the World was my nonfiction read for the month. It was really interesting and I loved the drawings as well.

A Pen Dipped in Poison was slightly disappointing. I still had many of the same issues as the first book, mainly I just couldn’t distinguish which of the three narrators was which. They were all just so similar to each other, and none of them felt fully developed. The story was interesting though.

Faebound was my audiobook this week and while I liked the story and the characters, I did struggle a little bit with the reader’s voice. She just didn’t quite work for me. I will probably be reading the sequel instead of listening to it.

What will I read next?

I really have no idea what I might choose next for any of my reads. I might hold off on my next ARC, The Vanishing Kind, to pay more attention to my library reads, but I’m not sure. I have five more ARCs that come out in March to read, so I am feeling a little bit of pressure to get one more done this month. I also am not sure which audiobook or physical book I will pick up next. Old Man’s War is one on my January TBR that I have yet to read so I might go with that, or I might not depending on my mood. I also have nothing cued up for my audiobook, but I saw I’m Afraid You’ve Got Dragons while looking for dragon books to talk about and thought it sounded pretty good. So who knows? I’m feeling very fickle this month about my reading, which maybe is a good thing.

Well that is it for this week’s WWW Wednesdays post. I always look forward to reading other people’s post as I almost always find a book to at least consider adding to my TBR. Until next time….

Happy Reading!

  1. March must be a major month for publishing as I’ve got 6 ARCs to read too and I’ve already read a couple!! So much for being sensible with requests ðŸ˜ģðŸ˜ģI thought that the J M Hall book was disappointing when I read it. I just didn’t like the characters as much this time around. I did love Faebound though and can’t wait to read the Cursebound before too long.
    Happy Reading
