Why is February so short! I think it has something to do with moon cycle or just how they split up the days of the year, I don’t really remember and I’m too lazy to look it up right now. I really needed a couple of more days to finish some books, but I am still pretty happy with the way things turned out. I managed to read all of my books on my TBR, which was better than last month. Here is the lovely graphic produced by The Story Graph.

As you can see I read a total of 16 books, four of them were audiobooks and five were ARCs. There were only a couple that got lower than a four star rating, but let’s not talk about those. I had many four star and a couple of almost five star books this month which made me quite happy. I am also doing quite well on my challenges.
Favorite ARCs

When the Moon Hits Your Eye (March 25th) was such a fun read. It was a book that made me think as well as laugh and that is all I could have asked for.
Last Chance to Save the World (April 8th) was a last minute choice added to the ARCs list this month. It was short so it didn’t impact my reading much, but I was glad I added it. It was a lot of fun to read and solid ending to the series.
This Book Will Bury Me (March 25th) was the last ARC for the month that I read and it was a great book, except for the ending. I also made me a bit uncomfortable, but I will talk about that in my review which will be up soon.
Reading Challenge Books

The Big Redhead Book (Nonfiction Reading Challenge) was a very interesting book and I learned alot about myself and redheads in general.
The Vanishing Kind (Buzzword Cover Challenge) was a solid thriller with a very interesting plot. A little slow moving at the start though and also a little bit repetitive when it came to the information about the jaguars.
The Bletchley Riddle (52 Book Club Challenge) was a middle grade historical fiction book that I really enjoyed as well. I loved the clues and riddles we had to figure out in the story as well as the historical content about the British codebreakers and what they did during the war.
Favorite Reads

Old Man’s War was a really interesting read. I loved the characters and the story was great as well. I hope to continue the series eventually.
Trouble Island was a really good mystery thriller that takes place during prohibition. Lots of nice twists and turns and I loved the setting.
A Captured Cauldron was just as delightful as the first book. I am really looking forward to the next book, but unfortunately I don’t think it comes out till next year.
Favorite Audiobooks

The Curse of the Ten Broken Toes was a hilarious look at a young tweens struggles with middle school and breaking all of his toes. It was very heartwarming. The narrator did a great job of talking like a sixth grader!
The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society was also a very interesting read. I would have like it more if there had been actual demon hunting, but otherwise good. The narrator was really good which made me like this one a bit more.
Holmes is Missing was also a really good read, or rather listen as it was an audiobook. I would still like to see more than one narrator on this one though. I think it would make the audiobook better.

I hope you all were able to get some good reading done in February. I am looking forward to my March reading as I have lots of good books lined up, especially my ARCs. Check out my March TBR.
Until next time…
