The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week has been good so far. Mine has been pretty good. The weather here has been more fall like than summer lately, which is making me sad, but it will change again soon. Fall here in the PNW is usually wonderful, until the rains start up again in October.

Reading wise it was a pretty good week. I finished my August TBR and for the most part the books were pretty good. Nothing truly outstanding, but nothing horrible either.

What am I currently reading?

The Blood Queen is the first ARC that I need to read this month. I have only just started it, so I am slowly getting back into it this world. It is the second book in a duology. So far it is pretty good.

Don’t Cross Mo Ellery is a pretty funny read. Mo is such a mess, and at first I didn’t like her much, but she kind of grows on you. So looking forward to finishing this one.

The Absent One is a lot darker than the first book. Some really awful people commiting really awful crimes. But I am enjoying the way the Dept. Q detectives are hunting them down.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Velvet Knife was good, but it just didn’t seem to be up to snuff compared to the rest of the series. The two mysteries were interesting but not as complex as previous ones.

The Spellshop was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the characters and the story, but it seemed a bit too long as it did drag quite a bit in the middle.

Green City Wars was a great detective story with a very noir feel to it. It reminded me a lot of the movie Chinatown. Loved the characters and the world building was phenomenal.

What will I read next?

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder is the next ARC I plan on picking up. So looking forward to this fun christmas mystery.

Stone & Sky is a book that I have been wanting to read since last year, but haven’t gotten around to yet. So looking forward to finally picking it up.

Subculture Vulture is my nonfiction read for the month. Hopefully this will be as funny as it sounds.

That is it for this week’s edition of WWW Wednesday. I hope the rest of your week is marvelous and that you are enjoying your reading.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
