This week I am looking at books set in a magical school. Lots of books out there for fans of YA.
Category: Fantasy
Saints and Dark Magic
A review for the new book by Margaret Rogerson, Vespertine. A wonderful dark fantasy full of great characters and a sweeping complex plot that will keep you reading into the night.
The Scholomance #2
A review for the second book in the Scholomance Trilogy. This one is just as good as the first book and in some ways better. Hell of an ending though that will leave you waiting anxiously for the next book.
Mexican Vampires
A review for the book Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. A dark re-imaging of vampires with a noir feel to it.
Mini Confessions
Short reviews of three books I read this month. All of these are older titles.
The Cloud Roads by Martha Wells
Proof of Guilt by Charles Todd
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton.
Temeraire Series by Naomi Novik
A review for the historical fantasy series, Temeraire by Naomi Novik. A wonderful series about how dragons might have fit into our world.
