Happy Valentines Day!
This has never been my favorite day, so I debated about what to post about. I don’t particularly like romance books, and I didn’t necessarily want to post about what my favorite books are. So I saw this tag on A Book. A Thought.’s blog last week and thought it looked like fun and it sort of fits the valentine/love theme. So even though I wasn’t tagged, I decided to give it a try. Please stop by and visit her blog. She always has something fun to say. Also please stop by and visit the lovely creator of this tag The Book Raven.
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
2. Mention me Tiana @ The Book Raven as the (insert adjective here) creator of this book tag!
3. Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
4. At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy 😉
5. List the rules
“No Ideas But in Things” A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it.
These are two pretty cool covers that show where the story takes place. These towers are what made the story interesting and cool. Lots of cool tech and places in these buildings that make the story as good as it is. I haven’t yet seen the cover for the third book, but hopefully it won’t disappoint.
“Dark and Lovely” A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up
I don’t know about eating this one, but it is certainly creepy. That ghost girl beckoning to me and those flames in the background, does give me chills up my spine.
“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug
I’m not sure this cover is sugary sweet, but the story is a sweet one, and one of the few romance books I’ve read recently that I really liked. I liked both of the main characters and their romance really worked for me.
“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design
I just love this cover. It is so simple and yet so stunning. I picked it up mostly because of that cover. The story intrigued me as well. It is a shame that they ruined the next two covers in the series and didn’t stick with this simple idea.
“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet
I haven’t yet bought this book, but soon I keep telling myself. I have seen a black version of this and can’t decide which I like better, so that might be one thing that is holding me back. Next shopping spree at my local indie shop this will definitely be on the list of must buys,
“Traveling Abroad” A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own
Love this cover, love the book. Ahh, Paris. I will read just about anything that takes place in that beautiful city. This one is a beautiful love story as well, with revenants.
“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors
Purple is my favorite color, but I haven’t found any books that use purple that I truly love. So I decided on this book. There is purple, but it really showcases a color wheel and it was a great book to boot.
Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore
I really liked this book, but I never liked the original cover. I would not have picked it up because of the cover. I love the new one, which I think is for the paperback. I almost used this one for my favorite color cover, but I really wanted to use it here. I rarely like when they change the covers of books. This is one of the few that I did.
“Oldie but Goodie” A favorite cover of your favorite classic
This is my favorite classic book, but I don’t have a favorite version of the cover. Most of them are pretty awful. But I like this one. It’s a nice color and it is very simple.
“And the Winner is…” Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?
Oh please, please don’t make me choose. I hate playing favorites. I like them all which is why they are in this post. But if you are really going to make me choose, I guess it would be the Die for Me cover. It is just stunning.
Well that was fun and I hope you enjoyed it too. Which one of these covers would be your favorite? If you choose to do this tag, let me know so that I can check out your answers. I always enjoy looking at pretty covers.
Note: As I was finishing this post, it came to my attention that I had already done this tag, back in November. Some of my answers were the same, but some changed so I decided to keep this post (especially after all that work to create it). But if you are interested in the first post you can find it here.
