Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
The holds just continue to poor in, even ones I don’t remember asking for? A few months ago I read The Sea Detective by Mark Douglas-Home and really enjoyed it. So, I checked to see if my library had the next book in the series, and they didn’t. I remember requesting that they purchase it, but it was not approved because it was published in 2015. But I guess they forwarded the request to the ILL team that found a copy? I’m not sure how I ended up getting it, but I am glad that I have it now!
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Masters of Death is a paranormal romance involving a vampire real estate agent trying to sell a haunted house and the son of death. I just couldn’t resist that premise.
Painted Devils is one I have been waiting for a long time. It took forever for the library to purchase their copies and get them out. But I am very happy to finally have a copy.
How Can I Help You sounds like it will be a good mystery suspense thriller. It features a small town librarian with a shady past.
The Woman Who Walked into the Sea was a surprise showing this week. My library didn’t have a copy, but somehow was requested through interlibrary loan or something. But I have it now and I am looking forward to reading it.
Audiobooks

I am almost finished with my current audiobook. It was a bit on the disturbing side as it was about the search for a very sadistic serial killer. So I needed something a bit on the light side to listen to while on vacation. I have seen some good reviews of Assistant to the Villain and thought it would be the perfect choice.

I am going out of town this week to the Oregon coast! It will be a nice way to spend the week that I would normally be going back to work. But I won’t be going to the library next Friday, so I probably will be skipping this post next week. I just hope I get some reading done as my stack is getting so big it doesn’t fit on my bedside table right now.
I loved the Sea Detective too so i must see if my library has a copy of this next one. Enjoy your trip to the coast.
