The Birthday Book Tag!

I celebrated my birthday this week, so what better way to celebrate than to do this tag. This will be the third year that I have done this one. It is always fun to see how my answers change. I have changed up a couple of them though, just to make things more interesting and so that I’m not giving the same answer every year. If you would like to read my previous years answers just click on these dates: 2020, 2022, 2023.

Count your birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month:

My book shelves have grown a bit, and have become quite stuffed so it was a bit hard to count, but I managed and I was able to come up with this beauty. I just loved reading The Fragile Threads of Power and I was totally thrilled to spend a little extra money to get the UK cover. I just love seeing it on my shelf!

If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?

I would love to spend time cooking with Elizabeth Zott. My father was a chemist and often talked about how cooking and baking related to chemistry, so it would be fun to spend time in the kitchen with this character. I would also love to meet her dog, Six-thirty.

Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in.

Upon a Frosted Star is the first book that popped into my head for this prompt. I have this sitting next to my bed and I hope to pick it up next.

Find a book the color of your birthstone.

Garnetts are the birthstone of January and their color runs from deep red to a reddish purple. This book seemed to fit the color. The Olympian Affair was a wonderful book and I am looking forward to reading the next book someday.

Pick A Book Set In A Time Period, World, or Country You Would Like To Have Been Born In:

I would have loved to be born into Emily Wilde’s England, where the fae run wild and you never know when or where you might find one. This is a wonderful cozy fantasy and I just love the covers and the stories.

What book or bookish thing do I want for my birthday?

I always buy myself a book for my birthday, but this year there I haven’t seen a book that I really wanted to buy that comes out in January. So I have decided to preorder The Prisoner’s Throne for myself. It doesn’t come out till March, but it will be like celebrating my birthday all over again!

I wish all of you with January birthdays a very happy day and hope that you are able to surround yourself with love and books!
