My Monthly Wrap-Up: March 2025

March was a pretty good reading month. Most of my books were good, although I did dnf a book this month. But I still managed to finish 16 books and only one of them was a bit disappointing. My audiobooks this month were the best part of my reading! I also managed to read all of the books on my TBR! Here is my graphic from Storygraph for March.

They for some reason have added in hours this month, which for me doesn’t mean anything as I don’t track my reading hours on storygraph or anywhere basically. That seems like a silly thing to keep track of, but I guess some people do. Anyways just ignore that one as I only add the book to Storygraph when I am done with it, which explains the average time of 1 day as well. But still I like the graphic overall so I will keep using it.

Favorite ARCs

The Geographer’s Map to Romance was so much fun to read. I really enjoyed this second book in this historical romantasy series. I am so looking forward to the next one.

A Drop of Corruption was a really well done mystery and the second in a series. The world building is phenomenal in this series and something not to be missed.

Midnight in Soap Lake was a well done mystery set in a real place here in Washington state. I really enjoyed this twisty small town mystery.

Reading Challenge Books

Loch Ness Uncovered (Nonfiction Reading Challenge) was interesting but a little on the dry side. It needed a bit more jazzing up, especially as it is aimed at middle school kids.

The Lost Bookshop (Buzzword Cover Challenge) was a really good story, but kind of slow moving. I loved the magical realism and the magical bookstore. This month’s challenge was to read a book with books on the cover.

For Whom the Book Tolls (52 Book Club Challenge) was a nice cozy mystery that I enjoyed. This book was for the category of a pun in the title. I really love the title and was happy that the story was good too.

Favorite Audiobooks

Girl Forgotten was a really good YA mystery thriller. This was also a book I picked for the 52 Book Club Challenge. This was for a book by an author that won an Edgar award.

The First State of Being was a really great middle grade book, that definitely deserved the Newbery Award. The audiobook was well done.

Mask of the Deer Woman started off a little on the slow side and it took awhile to get into, but I ended up really liking it.

Graveyard Shift was a quick little novella that I threw in at the end of the month. But it was well done and I really enjoyed listening to the full cast solve this rather bizarre mystery.

Wooing the Witch Queen was such a fun romatasy. If you are at all into this genre than than this is one you want to add to your list. I loved the characters and the slow burn romance was a lot of fun to watch.

Most of my library books were picked for challenges so I didn’t have any left over for my usual favorite reads this month. I would like to mention Warriorborn by Jim Butcher though. It was a novella from the Cinder Spires series and I really enjoyed it.

I hope you all had a wonderful reading month. I am hoping mine will be a bit more exciting in April and that I will have lots of books to talk about again. Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. Reading The Lost Bookshop right now but going to check out Wooing the Witch Queen next. Also reading three other books right now. They’re all in different rooms, so wherever I am, I just pick one up.

    1. I like the different room approach 😄 I have three different devices, audio, ebook and physical book. But I sort of read each one in certain rooms and at certain times of day or activities.

      1. I do read books, but I use my Kindle, as well, so I understand. I’ve tried audio books but seem to drift away and start doing things. LOL Can’t seem to focus. Once I actually picked up a book and started to read until I caught myself and since then, I haven’t listened to any.
