Happy Monday everyone! I hope your week is off the a great start. It occured to me the other day that I hadn’t done a challenge update yet this year. Which is a bit surprising as I am usually pretty punctual about doing those kinds of posts. But I guess it is better to do it late than not at all. I am quite pleased to say that I have been doing well on all of my challenges and have even completed one and almost another one. Let’s take a look shall we?
If the book title has an asterisk (*) before it, that means it is linked to my review. If not, then it is linked to its Goodreads page.
Buzzword Cover Challenge
There are monthly prompts which you have to find covers to fit. This is a fun one that I really enjoy doing.

*The Hearth Witch’s Guide to Magic and Murder
Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line
Buzzword Reading Challenge
Another monthly one, but this time you have to find a particular word in the title each month. A bit harder than the cover challenge but still a lot of fun to do.

NonFiction reading Challenge
There are no monthly prompts for this challenge, but there are 12 categories that I am trying to find books to fit. I aim to read at least one nonfiction book every month. You can learn about the challenge here.

*The First Female Fossil Hunter
Ocean: Earth’s Last Wilderness
99 Ways to Die and How to Avoid Them
*Believe: The Untold Story Behind Ted Lasso
52 Book Club’s Challenge
As you can guess from the title, there are 52 Prompts, plus a bunch of bonus prompts. I’m not going to list all of the books that I have read for this challenge though, just 8 of my favorites. I really enjoy doing this one as some of the prompts really make me read books that are out of my usual genres. I’m also very close to finishing this one with only four prompts left to go.

*Your Behavior Will Be Monitored
The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy
Didn’t You Use to Be Queenie B?
This Story Might Save Your Life
SPECCY Challenge
This is the first challenge that I have finished this year. I think I was actually done a couple of months ago. Mostly because fantasy and science fiction are two of my favorite genres. This was not a monthly prompt, but there were twelve categories that I had to choose from to complete the challenge.

*I’m Afraid You’ve Got Dragons

Wow, that is a lot of books! The challenges have been great this year and I really enjoy doing them. They also sometimes lead me to books I haven’t heard of or in a genre I don’t typically read, which is great. Especially the nonfiction one, my go to topic in that genre is true crime, so it is nice to make myself branch out a bit. Hope you are all doing well on your challenges this year.
It’s great that you’ve done so well on your challenges and it’s only August. I really like challenges that inspire me to read books that I might not have picked up otherwise too.
