The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. It was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy@Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s topic is: Do you run your reviews through editing software before posting? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
The only editing software I use is my own brain, and occasionally the prompts that I get that something is wrong through wordpress. By this I mean those red or blue lines that are under words as you type. I saw on some other posts that people write their reviews in word first so that it can proofread their post, but my experience is that wordpress does the same thing, so why take the extra step?
I usually only need help with spelling and occasionally my spelling is so bad that I have to resort to google to help me figure it out. Occasionally I get some grammar issues, but usually those are because I forgot a small word or made a word compound when it isn’t, things like that. I have upon occasion looked up some grammar issues, if I think I am being tagged by wordpress wrongly. For the most part they are right and I am wrong, but that doesn’t happen to often.
I have never tried one of the editing programs so I am interested to see who has used them and if they were successful with them.
I tend to do my blogpost direct on WordPress but I type my reviews on my computer and save them there as they get used on different platforms.. A lot of people do seem to use Grammerly though and the discussions have been really interesting.
